Today's adventure was a group activation.
L'aventure d'aujourd'hui est une activation de groupe.

And passes thru the woods all the way to the summit.
At one point we encounter a rather steep but beautiful section and great precaution must be taken,as we get closer to the summit we start feeling the wind blowing thru the trees and this is very welcome as it is a humid day and the mosquitos are out in full force.
Et passe dans les bois jusqu'au sommet. Nous arrivons a une section ou la pente est très raide et il faut user de prudence, en approchant du sommet nous pouvons ressentir une petite brise au travers des arbres celle-ci sera la bienvenue car le temps est très humide et les moustiques nous envahissent.
After a 50 minute hike we arrive at the summit and search for a suitable spot. I chose to install my telescopic pole on a windy section beside the trail on a dead tree and there is just enough clear space around for the antenna wire to come down without touching the branches.
Nous arrivons a destination après une rando de 50 minutes et scrutons les environs a la recherche d'un endroit propice. Je choisis d'installer mon mat télescopique a un endroit venteux le long d'un arbre mort,le fil d'antenne pourra descendre jusqu'au sol sans toucher aux branches.
The other teammates are further into the woods.
Malcom had his station running and i had mine,Vlad was taking turns with Malcom using his rig. Bram had brought his own equipement but had a last minute technical problem preventing him from using it.
So he came over to me and we took turns on the mike.
Les autres collègues sont installés un peu plus loin dans les bois. Malcom utilises sa station et alternes a tour de rôle au micro ou plutôt a la clé avec Vlad. Bram éprouve une difficulté technique qui l’empêchera malheureusement d'utiliser sa propre station. Je lui prêterai le micro en alternance sur ma station.
I did not hear any Europeans but 20m was pretty busy with north american traffic. I worked three S2S operators on two different summits,also made 3 contacts on 17m
for a total of 23 qso's:
Je n'entends pas d'Européens mais par contre le trafic est assez soutenu du coté nord Américain sur la bande du 20m. J'ai réussi a contacter trois OM's en S2S sur 2 sommets différents,aussi j'obtiens 3 contacts sur 17m.

Once my run was over it was time for Bram to try and get his 2 last contacts in order to get a validated activation. He had to work real hard on that but finally succeeded !
Une fois mon activation terminée je cèdes la place a Bram car il doit faire 2 autres contacts afin de valider son activation. Il travaillera très fort mais aura finalement réussi !
Everyone has completed there logs and the mosquitos are really voracious now so we must pack up and head down the mountain.
Tous les logs sont complétés et les moustiques sont de plus en plus voraces,nous décidons donc de plier bagages et de prendre le chemin du retour.
It was a very pleasant day with the Sota buddies and we finished off the day with a good meal at the restaurant.
Ce fut une journée très plaisante en compagnie des amis sotaistes et nous avons terminé la journée autour d'un bon repas au restaurant.
